WORK LIFE

My first real job was as an actor in a year round repertory company in California and where I began my first play. I’ve been fortunate to workshop stories and novels-in-progress at Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Colgate Writers Conference, and Kettle Pond Writers’ Conference.  As for jobs, I have worked as a theater lighting technician in Los Angeles, a fine art dealer in Manhattan, a journalist in CT.  I was the director of the Willow Gallery in Manhattan and director of The Buttonwood Tree performing arts center in CT. I am an alumnus of the Lee Strasburg Theater Institute in LA and the Charles Maryan Playwrights and Directors Lab in NYC. - Jenny Hawkins Lecce
